Embark on an intimate insider journey across Morocco to Fes and Meknes: A 7-Day trip with Shaykh Umair Haseeb and local special guests. Ignite your soul and immerse yourself in the rich history of Islamic culture as you explore the enchanting city of Fes, our home-base in Morocco.
The 7-Day trip will take place from Aug 6th to Aug 12th.
Together, we will walk through the ancient city, visiting awe-inspiring sites, engaging in spiritual lessons, and creating lifelong connections with like-minded individuals. Our program offers a unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of Islamic traditions and knowledge, all while experiencing the vibrant colors, scents, and sounds of this unforgettable city.
Highlights of the trip

Guided visits to historically significant sites with behind the scenes access to Al-Qarawiyyin University, Zaouia Tijaniyah, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail and others around Fes.

Itinerary
We have carefully crafted a day-to-day itinerary that balances spiritual growth, cultural experiences, and rejuvenation.
Day 1 (Fes): Arrival at the world-famous Riad Hadia. Welcome session introducing Fes and its spiritual legacy, focusing on Moulay Idris II as the founder of Fes. Visit Moulay Idris II’s shrine, followed by dinner and reflection at the hotel. Ending the evening with salah on the terrace.
Day 2 (Fes): Visits to Sidi Ali Jamal, Zaouia Tijaniyah, Al-Qarawiyyin Library & Mosque. Exploring Fatima al-Fihri’s legacy. Shopping in the Medina. Evening dhikr at Zaouia Wazzaniyah.
Day 3 (Fes): Sufism lessons, Jumu’ah at Al-Qarawiyyin Mosque, reflections on Fes’s intellectual heritage. Evening dhikr with Shaykh Idris at Zawiya Idris al-Fassi.
Day 4 (Meknes): Visit Meknes, Moulay Idris Zerhoun, and Volubilis. Lunch hosted by Shaykh Moulay Hashum, followed by visits to his grave and Zawiya Shaykh Muhammad ibn al-Habib.
Day 5 (Fes): Visits to Bou Inania Madrasa, Zaouia Sidi Ahmed al-Tijani, and Seffarine Square. Evening reflections and farewell dinner.
Day 6 (Fes): Free day for shopping or rest.
Day 7 (Fes): Closing reflections, breakfast, and departure.

Yes, it is islamically permissible according to many scholars to travel without a mehram if it is safe and you're traveling with a group.

If you cancel your plans before April 1st, you will receive a full refund. Any cancellation after April 1st will will be refunded minus the $500 deposit

During the retreat in mid May, you can expect warm days with temperatures ranging from 60°F to 80°F (15°C to 26°C). Nights may be cooler, so bring a light jacket or sweater. It is generally dry during this time, with low chances of rain.

For Canadian, U.S., and UK citizens, visas are granted upon arrival in Morocco for stays up to 90 days. For other nationalities, please consult the Moroccan consulate or embassy in your country for visa requirements and application procedures.
