Nur Al-Iddah is a Hanafi fiqh text written by Imam al-Shurunbulali, covering the subjects of purification, prayer, and fasting in an exhaustive manner according to the Hanafi school of law. Its author, Abu al-Ikhlas Hasan ibn Ammar al-Shurunbulali, was born in Upper Egypt around 994 AH, studied and later taught at al-Azhar, and became widely regarded as one of the foremost Hanafi jurists of his era. The text has achieved broad acceptance throughout the Muslim world and remains the first fiqh text studied by Hanafi students to this day. Students who study this text will have the opportunity to receive ijaza in the text with an unbroken chain of transmission to the author of the text himself.

About the instructor: Hamzah Raza is an Iftaa student at Dar Al-Iftaa Al-Misriyya, a student at the Al-Azhar Seminary and formerly worked as a senior researcher at Dar Al-Iftaa Al-Misriyya. He is an alumnus of Vanderbilt and Harvard University where he completed his BA and MA degrees in Islamic Studies.
